Private Sessions

Private sessions are a joy. I love to witness an individual’s (or pair’s) significant transformation over time. Yoga is challenging, and the more you learn, the harder it can be; we are unlearning and relearning and refining and unlearning and relearning and refining.

Yoga is a practice and not a performance with an endpoint. If we repeat and refine a particular practice over time, we can change our perspective, our thoughts, our actions, our lives, instead of plateauing in the muck of it all. A student who practices privately benefits from a teacher seeing what the student cannot see given the inevitable limitation of one’s own vision. Over time, a student’s awareness increases because they look where they previously did not look. This might sound a bit serious — we also talk about the books we’re reading, the movies we’re seeing, the snacks we’re loving, the music we’re listening to. It’s like having an extra engaging weekly tea party. Interested?
